AUTUMN FUNDRAISING PROJECT

AUTUMN FUNDRAISING PROJECT
****PetPodz beds for the Wiccs dogs**
**

We were lucky enough to pick up a PetzPodz 2nd hand. We'd heard about them before, but never actually seen one in the flesh. We can honestly say they are an absolutely amazing dog bed, and worth every penny. The pod is extremely strong, very versatile and really easy to clean. They have interchangeable fronts as required providing a wonderful safe den/cave environment and feeling to suit each individual dog, and will be cozy in winter and cool in summer. They come in a lovely array of funky bright colours.  Cam is the lucky resident of our PetzPodz and he LURVVVVVVESS it. Little Bryn is often found sneaking in and cats have been ousted after finding a reason to infiltrate the dog barn!

After being so pleased with Cam's pod and the dogs reaction to it, coupled with the enthusiastic response and views of everyone who has seen it and inspected it over the past couple of weeks, we contacted PetzPodz to find out about a price for a bulk buy order as it would fab to be able to fit out the new kennels each with one of these amazing beds. They came back to us with a fantastic price. For us to be able to order 22 Podz, it works out at £256 each pod, including internal bed and interchangeable/removeable front. That is a really generous price. although obviously still a huge amount to fund them.

We would love to fit the new kennels out with a pod each, so we are making that an Autumn fundraising project.

* If folks would like to sponsor a complete Podz, the cost for a Podz is £256.
Each fully sponsored Podz will carry the name of it's sponsor, or the name of their choosing.

* If people would like to part sponsor the Podz project,
we will put up a notice with the names of the folks who have done so.

* If folks would like to run something to raise funds for the podz, all ideas and suggestions are very welcome.

If you would like to sponsor a full podz, or part sponsor a podz, sponsorship can be made via a BAC's transfer, cheque, Paypal or Nochex.  Please contact us if you need the details, and please say PetPodz on your transfer.

We are holding an open day and new kennel ribbon cutting in the near future (watch this space, date to be confirmed) and it would be amazing if the kennels each had a gorgeous colourful new pod inside.

TARGET AMOUNT = 22 PODZ

TOTAL SPONSORED SO FAR = 8 PODZ

The Adventures of Miss Mia and Doctor Who

A recent Wiccs dog adventure:

The Adventures of Miss Mia and Doctor Who
by her mum Cathy

We live in Stratford-upon-Avon, land of Shakespeare!

On Sunday evening we decided to take the dogs (Wiccs Missy Mistletoe, Wiccs Miss Mia and their little brother Jake) down to the Dirty Duck which is a famous pub next to the RSC opposite the river!

They enjoy going down there to meet fans, actors and generally have a good fuss, which they love, and strangely enough, we don't mind going down there for the odd pint of cider either!  :D

So....there we were sitting outside, watching the world go by - the dogs lying down, enjoying the odd person coming up to coo-coo over them when we suddenly noticed that Miss Mia had gone walk-abouts.  ::)

My husband set off in hot pursuit inside the pub.  She wasn't in the bar.  Head scratch. :-\
She wasn't in the back-garden.  Head scratch again. :-\ But we knew she wouldn't be far.....

So off Al went into the restaurant where there's a few hidden little nooks and crannies that the actors favour so as not to get disturbed.......

.....and there was little Mia, sitting on the lap of a VERY famous actor, aka David Tennant (or Doctor Who).  :o  :o

He was feeding her fillet steak and she was a very happy little doggie indeed  :D

He said to Al "Your little dog told me that she was absolutely STARVING and so I'm just sharing my dinner with her"   :2funny:

She begrudgingly allowed herself to be lifted off said famous lap to return to the company of her VERY boring non-thespian family.

I'm not sure who was teaching who acting skills but Miss Mia was very pleased with herself..  :wag: :wag: Very pleased indeed !!!  Just another day in the life of a Wiccs Oldie.......haha!!

Just thought this would make you chuckle as it did us at the time :2funny:  :2funny:
