Today Paul and I have mostly been shovelling and moving around 4 tons of gravel. Supervised by fourlegged foremen, who seemed to think that throwing toys at us would aid our progress, plus helpfully digging in the gravel and making it fly out behind them! Well, we did need it moving I suppose. :-) The gravel is for the new kennels area. We estimate we need another 4 - 5 tons to finish off. Is there anyone who would be kind enough to sponsor a ton of gravel for us please. Our building works funds are now empty, so if anyone could help with sponsoring a ton of gravel we would really appreciate it. :-) A ton costs £44.
Thank you all xxxx

Concrete flooring - help!
Can anyone, or does anyone know someone who can lay concrete flooring please? We
are getting desperate to get an area sorted and struggling to find
anyone to do it. Its too small a job for most folks we've tried, but too big for us to do it ourselves. If you can help, or know someone who can, please get in touch. :-) Tel: 07905 203254

What a fab day! The Summer Solstice Walk & Gathering
What a fab day yesterday, it was brilliant to see everyone and all the dogs had a great time.
The House of Badger outdid themselves with an amazing selection of goodies, added to by Shirley and her mum. Folks also bought yummy things for the communal table.
Em & John also kept everyone supplied in tea, coffee and cold drinks and did sterling work, massive thanks to them both.
It was so heartwarming to see so many happy faces and waggy tails. Humans and dogs alike had a lovely time socialising, playing and chatting. The weather stayed good for us, apart from the normal Wiccs wind tunnel situation.
Wilma Bassett provided the comedy for the day, by going on strike at cuddle corner and demanding to be carried back to the refreshment area by Sharon! This was following her earlier ambush of mum Shirley by sitting down immediately in front of her and causing Shirley to land on her bottom. "Shirley's down!" was the cry and as I rushed over to see if she was ok, several doggies had already beaten me too it and were checking Shirley out to see if she was ok. We soon realised the feigned concern was just a cover so they could take the opportunity to steal cocktail sausages from the downed Shirley's pocket!! Wilma just sat there looking innocent - I'm now wondering whether it was an accident, or was indeed a cunning bassetty master plan to get paws on as many sausages in one go as possible. The jury is still out!
All in all, a really fab day with lots of laughs and great company. Lots of people, lots of dogs, children, cats and other animals around, all having a wonderful time together.
Paul and I both really appreciated everyone's support and kind words.
