Thank you
Paul & I would like to thank the folks who have sent messages of support to us. They really are appreciated. We have heard from people all over the UK, and Eire - and from as far away as the USA, Singapore and Australia. It really does boost our moral to know that people think what we do is worthwhile and a good thing - so thank you to all.

Wiccaweys Threatened With Closure - Terrible Start to 2007
We have heard in the past few days that Wiccaweys have, after all this time (and considerable expense), been refused change of use planning permission.
We were also broken into over Christmas and thieves stole a mechanical digger, breaking down gates and fencing.
The council are refusing to reconsider the matter and are effectively threatening the rescue with closure. All this in spite of the fact that we have been here for over a year, and have the complete support of our landlords and people and organisations across the country.
The Council's Planning Enforcement Officer is coming round on the 9th February to issue us with an enforcement notice. After that date there must be no rescue dogs on the premises and we will not be allowed visitors to come to adopt, even to meet foster dogs that come with their fosterers to meet potential new homes and do not normally reside on the premises. We will not be allowed to rescue, rehabilitate or rehome any dogs from here. We will be appealing the planning permission refusal, and the enforcement notice, but we do not hold out much hope.
In the short term, Wiccaweys will continue to save dogs with the help of our wonderful foster homes.
Wiccaweys now needs your help - Please keep checking back for updates.

Happy New Year
A very Happy New Year to All.
We hope that fireworks last night didn't disturb & distress your 4 legged friends too much.
Best Wishes
Paul & Sarah
